Water

You don’t need water filters. For the higher stretches you need a good 2 litre water bottle because there can be quite a distance between water points but as you descend to the valleys the sound of rushing water is with you much of the way and the water from side streams is the nicest, cleanest water ever.  You will see ingenious ways of tapping into springs and delivering water to the troughs for cattle.
