Packhorse and trekkers at Albanian border between Vuthaj and Thethi
For trekkers whose days of real backpacking are over it is possible to arrange for packs to be taken each day from the starting point in the morning to the accommodation for the evening. Transport is by horse, particularly into and out of Albania, by vehicle, or between Peja and Plav by bus; packs are given to the driver of the 2pm daily bus from Peja to Plav (5pm) and Gusinje (5.30pm). Trekkers who need this service will arrange it with one of the companies or individual tour organisers listed below who are organising the whole trek and the cost of pack transport will be included in the overall price.
